Welcome

Welcome to my new blog. After my first year of teaching (kindergarten!), I'm getting back on track with my jewelry endeavors. I'm busy stocking up on supplies (fun!) and making jewelry (fun!). I'm taking pictures of my pieces to put up for sale in my Etsy shop. (not so fun). I have a very old digital camera and limited photography and editing skills. I swear this part takes longer than making the jewelry. I'm also starting to reach out and network with other artists. I plan an sharing links to other blogs and sites and look forward to "meeting" people all over the world.

Here are a few photos of some of my newer pieces.

The first is a unakite donut wrapped in twisted copper wire. It hangs from a necklace of unakite buttons and copper spacers.

This necklace is made from labradorite and opal rondells and features chalcedony drops.

This copper swirl pendant wrapped with garnets hangs from a handcrafted copper chain.

Oh Teresa,
This peachy background is just yummy with your gorgeous banner!!! I truly love your copper wire work and will have to write a feature article or two about you...

So your new blog looks totally professional - and this wasn't too painful to put together right? :)

Teresa, you blog looks great! How did you do the banner? I've been wanting to do one with my jewelry in it for my blog. It IS a pain keeping up with photographing jewelry.

Thank you Anna Lee,

It would be very exciting to have an article written about me!

It really wasn't too bad setting the blog up, although I did have a problem getting the banner just right. I actually figured out how to go in and change some of the HTML, I was so proud of myself!

Hi Leslie,

To make my banner, which is also on my Etsy store, I just piled some of my jewelry up and took some pictures. I cropped the picture into a long rectangle using my editing software that came with my camera. I then uploaded the photo. I did have to fiddle a little with the HTML to eliminate some white space at the top. And yes, I agree, taking pictures is not my favorite part of the process.

Hi Annette,

Thank you for your kind words. I actually had a lot of fun setting things up, have learned a lot, and am still "tweaking". I'm looking forward to working with everyone on the team
